Beyond this point is plotting!
Originally, I had planned them being in their early twenties, at least in the beginning of the marriage. I know that arranged marriages don't really exist in America, but I figured that it could be something having to do with two large corporations, business, etc. One family is saying that they didn't really need to agree to the terms of the buy-out, they could have just walked, but they're obviously lying - one has the connections, one has the fortune.
We don't have to have them talk about business if you don't want, or if your character wants to be more business-oriented and throwing himself into his work to avoid being around his new wife, I'm okay with that too.
Thoughts? I just have the scaffolding and am more than happy to make changes as we flesh it out.
